Our Use of Text-Mining, AI Tools to Support Rapid Evidence Mapping Presented at NURA Workshop

The Physicians Committee for Responsible Medicine (PCRM) organized a workshop, “New Approach Methodology Use for Regulatory Application (NURA): Integrating new approaches into your Toxic Substance Control Act (TSCA) testing.” As part of this workshop, Dr. Ruchir Shah from Sciome described text mining and artificial intelligence (AI) methods and tools being developed at Sciome to enhance literature-based research. Dr. Shah specifically detailed the use of Sciome’s SWIFT-Review, SWIFT-Active Screener and FIDDLE tools, along with various natural language processing (NLP) methods being developed to support the development of rapid evidence maps on various environmental and health related topics.
