Exciting Presentations at the Upcoming Cochrane Colloquium

Cochrane is a not-for-profit organization with a mission to promote evidence-informed health decision-making by producing high-quality, relevant, accessible systematic reviews and other synthesized research evidence. Cochrane is a global independent network of health practitioners, researchers, patient advocates and others, responding to the challenge of making the vast amounts of evidence generated through research useful for informing decisions about health. Cochrane is composed of collaborators from over 120 countries working together to produce credible, accessible health information that is free from commercial sponsorship and other conflicts of interest.

At Sciome, our team is leading a collaborative effort to introduce data driven decision making in the systematic review process. We have developed a number of quantitative methodologies and informatics approaches served as user friendly software to enhance early stages of systematic review process.

We are excited to be invited to present two such distinct efforts at the Annual Cochrane Colloquium in Vienne Austria.  Dr. Ruchir Shah from Sciome will be giving a talk entitled “Evaluation of the priority ranking capabilities of SWIFT software” (Oral Session O10.4) on Wednesday, Oct 7, 2015. In addition, Dr. Kris Thayer from NIEHS will be giving a presentation about SWIFT entitled “Application of text mining and machine learning for problem formulation and systematic reviews” (Rapid Oral Session RO10.3) on Sunday, Oct 4, 2015.
