The 11th edition of the World Congress on Alternatives and Animal Use in the Life Sciences, being held virtually Aug 23-Sep 2, 2021 brings together scientists from around the world to discuss developments in the field of alternatives to animal testing in the life sciences. As part of this meeting, Dr. Ignacio Tripodi will present recent work on inference of toxicologically relevant mechanisms from gene expression data using the MechSpy framework. This method makes significant contributions towards elucidating mechanism of action of a chemical toxicity. MechSpy framework seeks enrichment of curated mechanisms of cellular toxicity from differential gene expression analysis.
